I am Lisa SelahRae DuBois, founder of Write In Your Face Productions—a literary arts company dedicated to helping people write with clarity, courage, and creative purpose.

I’ve spent decades helping people find their voice, whether behind the salon chair, behind a classroom desk, or from behind the scenes as a writing coach and creative guide. With over 25 years in the cosmetology industry and 10 years as a certified instructor, I learned how to listen deeply and draw stories out of people—even when they didn’t think they had one.

Eventually, that gift shifted into a different kind of transformation: the kind that happens on the page. I’m a published author and working playwright who now helps others take their ideas from first draft to final stage, book release or script. I also teach writing and creative development through workshops at my church and in my broader community.

I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Biblical Studies and a Master’s in Divinity, and I’ve served as a licensed and ordained minister for over 15 years. My faith journey informs how I coach—not with pressure or pretense, but with compassion, structure, and bold truth. I believe writing is both a tool and a calling.

As a Certified Career Technical Educator (CTE) in Delaware, I’ve also spent years teaching high school students in nine disciplines—communications, finances, emotional intelligence, leadership, media literacy, and more. That background shapes how I help writers not just create but scale their work like a business, develop confidence, and manage the real-world process of birthing a message that matters.
